As the 2018 Jumia Mobile Report indicated that 19 million Ugandans have access to the internet over the majority of 2017, making it a 44% penetration rate, and ranking the country as 15th in internet usage across Africa – behind giants in Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, and Kenya – a report from Speedtest Intelligence ranks Uganda 10th among the African countries with the fastest mobile internet speeds, 115th globally. This list is based on results for the month of May, and countries must have at least 670 unique user results for mobile and at least 3,333 for fixed broadband to be ranked.
